Ford literature touted the mid-size '76 Gran Torino as the car that "takes you a big step up in luxury and distinction." It's graceful styling included standard rocker panel molding and wraparound taillights, and a number of optional aesthetic treatments were available. The Gran Torino rode on a 114-inch wheelbase and was powered by a 351 cid. V-8 engine. Power-steering and power front disc brakes further enhanced driver comfort.
