The '68 Road Runner was the first muscle car to boast performance that was basically affordable to all. To keep it light and cheap, the Road Runner was devoid of chrome, carpet, or bucket seats, but still had plenty under the hood. While the addition of the 426 Hemi raised the price significantly, the ability to blaze the 1/4 mile in the low 13's more than made up for it. Just like its popular cartoon bird namesake, the '68 Road Runner proved nearly impossible to catch!
